IT Premier League 2026 Concludes: N Computing Team emerges as Champions
ITAO Fulfils Social Responsibility Through Cricket
Bhubaneswar/Kesura, February 22, 2026: A two-day Cricket Tournament was successfully organized at PJ Ground, Kesura, in the capital city of Bhubaneswar. The event was hosted by the State ITAO (IT Association of Odisha) as part of its initiative to promote social responsibility through sports.
The IT Premier League 2026 concluded on Sunday with an exciting and closely contested final match that was thoroughly enjoyed by cricket enthusiasts. The tournament, which commenced on February 21, featured nine teams competing across 16 matches over two days.
In the final, N Computing Team faced Star Light Team in a thrilling encounter. After winning the toss, N Computing Team opted to bat first. The match began on a high-energy note, with both teams displaying competitive spirit as spectators cheered enthusiastically.
Batting first, N Computing Team scored 139 runs in the allotted 10 overs, losing all wickets, and set a target of 140 runs for Star Light Team. In response, Star Light struggled with early batting setbacks. Despite their efforts to build momentum, the team was bowled out for 107 runs. N Computing Team emerged victorious and clinched the championship title. The winning team was awarded a trophy along with a cash prize, while the runner-up team was also felicitated by the organizers.
The two-day tournament was organized under the initiative of ITAO President Avinash Pattnaik, with the collective efforts of the association and the support of well-wishers. According to the organizers, the primary objectives of the event were to foster camaraderie through sports, provide relief from stressful professional life, and enhance efficiency in the workplace.
ITAO Secretary Debashish Tripathy stated that the cricket tournament was dedicated to the community and emphasized plans to make the event more inclusive in the future. As the IT Premier League enters its 16th year, efforts will be made to include more teams and provide opportunities to identify and promote cricketing talent from rural areas and college-level players. He further noted that the increased cooperation, support, and community engagement witnessed in the current edition would serve as motivation to expand the event further in the coming years.
It is noteworthy that the tournament saw participation from computer companies, distributors, and dealers associated with the computer business across Odisha. Cricket enthusiasts working in leading IT companies of the state also took part in the league and showcased their talent. The tournament was successfully coordinated with the guidance and support of advisors Prashant Swain, Prashant Mohanty, Angad Sasmal, Shiv Prasad Sahu, Rajesh Nanda, and Arun Dey, Vice President Ranjeet Panda, Joint Secretary Bhawani Shankar Devata, Treasurer Radhakanta Bhattaray and Joint Treasurer Shashikant Muduli.
